Underclassmen Exams

 

WEDNESDAY 5/24/17

GENERAL

Attention Computer Apps and Careers students – there will be computer lab tutoring immediately after school today in room 302.

The entire Freshman Class will be taking part in the STEM Day next Wednesday, May 31.  All freshman should check the group lists located in the Lunchroom hallway and by the attendance office.

Seniors interested in participating in Baccalaureate on Sunday, June 4th, should stop by the Counseling Office to pick up an information sheet.

Ping-Pong Club will have their last event after school today in the cafeteria.

Attention Seniors: fines and obligations need to be paid before caps and gowns are distributed on May 31.

Detentions will be held immediately after school in room 302 every Tuesday & Thursday from now until June 1st.

There is one Wednesday morning detentions left on May 31st at 6:00am in the library.  

ATHLETICS

Attention tennis players interested in playing on the girls and boys teams for the 2017/18 school year.....there will be a brief but important meeting on Tuesday, May 30th at 2:45 pm in Room 709.   Important paperwork for the fall girls’ season will be distributed as well as summer information for all players.

FALL PHYSICAL INFORMATION

Any student that will be going out for a fall sport, needs to have a physical completed by the time practice begins on August 15th, either by your private physician or at school. The physical must be dated June 1, 2017 or after.

Fall sports physicals will be given on Thursday, June 1st at 2:45 in the Middle School gym and also Wednesday, July 26th, in the High School gym 8:00am-10:30am. 

The fee for physicals given at school is $20. Checks can be made to Lower Dauphin School District (LDSD). All physical forms are available in the High School office.

GUIDANCE

Savannah School of Art and Design will hold an information session on Saturday, June 24 in Philadelphia.  More information on the SCAD website.

HACC will be holding a Massage and Reflexology Open House on June, 14th, 2017 at 6 p.m.  All prospective students interested in pursuing a  Massage therapy career are invited to shadow one of our classes. Contact Nina: nmkottca@hacc.edu

New Scholarship in Naviance: EGC Women in Law Scholarship. This scholarship is now available to any female high school senior nationwide planning to attend law school. Deadline is June 1.

HACC will sponsor a First Responder Summer Camp, June 19-22. More information available in the Counseling office. 

Central PA Architects Foundation Fund Architecture Scholarship and The Samuel Abrams Foundation scholarships are still open for application thru The Foundation for Enhancing Communities.  Please check Naviance or see Mrs. Weber in the Counseling office.
