    East Hanover Township is located in the northeastern corner of the Lower Dauphin School District, bordering Lebanon County. As one of our more rural townships, the East Hanover Elementary School serves as the focal point for many community events. 
     
    According to the 2000 Census, East Hanover Township has a population of nearly 5,325 people and 2,045 households. The median age of the township's residents is 38.1.
     
    East Hanover Township is Lower Dauphin's largest municipality and East Hanover Elementary School is one of the district's larger elementary schools, with about 380 students. The district's average elementary class size is 21 students.
     
    School hours are from 9 am to 3:30 pm. Office hours are from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
