BE KIND INITIATIVE
Kindness has been shown to cause a ripple effect. Research shows if you show kindness to one person, that person will show kindness to four people and those four people will show kindness to four more people and so on. These exchanges of kindness can change the world.
Lower Dauphin Communities That Care (LD CTC) and the LD Connections Club believe in this “be kind” attitude and have launched their first Kindness Initiative focused on intentional acts of kindness in our schools, workplaces and the community. We are challenging kids of all ages and adults in our community to simply be kind to one another ‒ to intentionally be kind ‒ by offering up a smile, giving a high five, befriending someone new, or in any way you like!
Be Kind T-shirts were sold during March and April (almost 3,000 sold!!!!), and we're encouraging students to wear them every Friday in April.
Look for our April Kindness Calendar on this site or on our Facebook page (Lower Dauphin Communities That Care)! Each day students will be encouraged to do something kind for someone else.
If you haven't already, please go to our Facebook page and "Like" us so you can follow along on our kindness journey!
All Lower Dauphin schools are participating and you can to! You can purchase a Be Kind yard sign for only $5. Pick one up at the District Administration Building at 291 E. Main St. There you can pick up a free Be Kind button as well!
Let's spread kindness like confetti!
