The Advanced Placement Test is offered at Lower Dauphin High School in early May to students who are taking Advanced Placement level courses or who have completed AP courses in the previous year.
 
The AP Test measures a student's mastery of the subject material covered in an Advanced Placement course of study. Lower Dauphin High School offers 17 Advanced Placement courses in the following subject areas:

5 — Extremely well qualified
4 — Well qualified
3 — Qualified
2 — Possibly qualified
1 — No recommendation

Note: For grades 3-5, a student is considered qualified to receive college credit or advanced placement. A score of 1 carries no recommendation to receive college credit or advanced placement.
